Hansons Flint Roofing, an industry leader in the roofing market, has announced the broad strokes of its new plan to create and finance a subsidiary company that will be established to develop software and hardware for the construction industry. The new products and services expected to be produced by the company will focus on providing back-office capabilities to construction companies and contractors.
"Being a part of this industry for a little bit of time, has allowed us to see things from the inside and develop ideas that can fill in gaps and enhance overall performance for our company as well as other companies," said a spokesman for the Flint Roofing group. "Some of the products that we are currently reviewing have the capability of increasing workflows in our own roofing operations, but other applications that we're looking at will be specifically for outside use by actual builders."
The Flint roofing company has not yet released data on when the subsidiary operation will be opening its doors, but all indications from the company spokesman do indicate that there has been extensive research and development conducted prior to the announcement of the subsidiary. "We began looking at some of the holes that existed in the system, and we sought out some ways to fill these holes and that has led to this development," added the spokesman.
